About Nick Kidd — I cut an office in half to sell a chip

Most of what I sell, you'll never see. My job is making people feel it anyway.

How I think

  1. 01

Move the problem somewhere people live.

A spec is easy to ignore. A CEO with his suit cut in half isn't. Put the problem where people already have an opinion. Then take a side.

  2. 02

    Question the brief first.

Clients show up with a diagnosis. I want to know what's behind it. What's broken? What does winning look like? Answer that before anyone sees an idea.

  3. 03

    Make it for the buyer.

Most B2B ads are built to impress the client's boss. Every review adds one more feature until it's a sales sheet. I make brave creative that gets results.

  4. 04

    Go wide, then get ruthless.

Bad ideas early are fine. At the end, an idea has to be ownable, scalable, and talk like a f*cking human being. If it passes, I fight for it.

  5. 05

    Human-led AI.

AI is a force multiplier when you point it at what it's good at. Research. The bones of an idea. Used everywhere, it makes everything average. Taste stays human.
